One very big difference. Churches are not allowed to use deadly force to require its members to do things. The government does it regularly.

I am scared of ego and ego alone. That is the root of all problem...those who live for self and material desire.

The crusades, Hitler, the terroists, lthe list goes on and on.....
Government. Religion has no place in government. Not any, no where, none. Zero. It scares me people can take away my civil rights (not really, we are just denied them) because of their religion. Religion is totally separate a belief. It is sick to control others because you think they should live and be like you.
I live in America. Here there is no difference between government and church. They are now one and the same. We are becoming the enemy with every passing day. Soon ppl from here will move to a Muslim country to live free.
Definitely religions. It has more of an irrational grip on its subjects than governments do.
