YES! My negative pregnancy test result is turning 5 on Friday.

I took it again three days later and it was positive.

Good luck!Is it possible for birth control to give a false negative?
I would make an appointment with your general practicioner. A blood test only takes a quick second and they are 100% accurate. I have heard of people getting negative pregnancy tests the whole time they are pregnant...not sure why. But you can't go wrong with a blood test.
Yes. Try it again in a week. If that doesn't work and you have other pregnancy symptoms, call your doctor. He or she will schedule a blood test to be sure.
The birth control would not cause the false negative. The birth control can cause you to not have a period and not be pregnant though. If it's only been 13 days since your suspected ovulation(you shouldn't ovulate on birth control unless you missed a pill) that is likely the reason. I would give it a week or so and test again if you still don't get your period.
wait a week, sometimes the tests arent that sensitive. if you dont want to wait, get a blood serum test done at the doc's. birth control wouldnt affect the results (hGC is the pregnancy hormone, estrogen and progesterone is the birth control hormone. the tests check for hGC). The doc's test is most sensitive for the hormone and take probably 10 mins for the results - even the urine tests at the doctors are very sensitive.

Best Regards.
Try it again in about a week. Sometimes the pregnancy hormone takes a while to show up.
