Can birth control give a false positive on a at-home pregnancy test?

This may sound like a dumb question, but my friends and I were wondering. Since birth control is made to make your body think you are pregnant, can birth control cause a false positive on an at-home pregnancy test? Just wonderingCan birth control give a false positive on a at-home pregnancy test?
No it won't. The hormone in blood and urine indicating pregnancy is called HCG and is not found in birth control. Can birth control give a false positive on a at-home pregnancy test?
no.
No. birth control doesn't have HCG which is what the test needs to read in the urine to be positive.
No. the test must dectect the HCG pregnancy hormone which the birth control pill does not have.
im gonna say no cuz i haven't heard that and i have been on birth control for a long time...i would say read the paper work you get w/ your birth control and see what that says
Nope.
No. Birth control does not create hcg in your body. The only other way you'd get a false positive is if you've taken fertility meds containing hcg.
Birth control doesn't make your body think your are pregnant. It just reduces a specific hormone to prevent getting pregnant. As for if can cause a false positive, I'm not sure! I haven't had to take a pregnancy test since my daughter was born.
No birth control cannot give a false positive on any test
