Can being on birth control make you have a false negative htp??

I kinda had my period last week, very light. i posted a question up on here asking for some advice (thanks to those who answered). so i went a head and took a test before i started my b.c. again, but after i stopped my 'period' and i got a negative, but i think that it was too soon to tell. BUT since i have been on my b.c. for the last week would i be able to take another test sometime soon?? Or would the one i took be accurate enough so i can assume im not pregnant??

Im 24 years old. serious answers only please!! THANK YOU!Can being on birth control make you have a false negative htp??
No it would not affect the results.. Read all about it at http://www.peeonastick.comCan being on birth control make you have a false negative htp??
Ohh if you think you may be pregnant you really should stop taking birth control pills.

In order for a home pregnancy test to be positive, your hcg (pregnancy hormone) levels have to be at least 50, so sometimes, even though the tests claim to be accurate 4 days before you miss a period, they sometimes don't come out accurately for a week or so.

Stop taking your pill, wait a few days, and take another test.

Good luck!
First off STOP taking BC if you think you could be preggo! Go to the dr. and get a test done. Because of the hormones in BC pills it may be hard to find out.
I doubt you're pregnant. If you've been on birth control the likelihood of you being pregnant is slim.
It wouldn't matter if your are on b/c or not..... if your going to get a pos test then you will get one.
No. B/c works only because its supposed to make a fertilized egg unable to implant on the uterine wall b/c it hardens the uterine wall as if you are already pregnant. It was probably just too soon. Give it a week and test again. If that one is negative, then its likely you're not.
